SYBR Safe DNA Gel Stain is a highly sensitive, green-fluorescent dye for visualization of DNA in agarose or acrylamide gels. Supplied as a 10,000X concentrate in DMSO and provided in a 400 μL unit, it is formulated as a less-hazardous alternative to ethidium bromide and can be excited with either blue light or UV illumination for nucleic acid visualization and documentation. The stain may be mixed into agarose for in-gel staining during electrophoresis or used to incubate gels after electrophoresis.
